Protecting Your Skin from the Sun at Our Apartments in Gainesville, Florida
Florida is called the Sunshine State for good reason. Most days of the year, you can see the sun shining and feel the heat from its rays. In the months of June, July, and August, the heat from the sun’s rays can be extreme. In addition to the heat, though, the sun also emits dangerous ultraviolet, or UV, rays that can permanently damage your skin, causing accelerated aging or worse with prolonged exposure. Thus, it is important to protect your skin from exposure to the sun whenever possible – all year long.
Some simple ways of protecting yourself from the sun’s UV rays at our apartments in Gainesville, Florida include:
- Applying sun block when you will be exposed to the sun
- Wearing a hat – not only will this shield your face from the sun, but it will help to keep you cool
- Sitting under an umbrella or natural shade when outdoors or using the pool
- Wearing UV-protective clothing in the sun
- Avoiding sun exposure between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.
And remember, if it gets too hot to stay outside at the community pool, we have plenty of other indoor amenities to keep you busy. If you would like to find out more about living at Bellamay Grand, please give our leasing office a call or stop by today for a community tour. We would love to show you around.
