Baking Pumpkin Bread at Our Apartments for Rent in Gainesville, FL
One perfect addition to any potluck or meal during the fall season is a warm loaf of pumpkin bread. Moist and rich in flavor, a slice of pumpkin bread slathered with butter can be a delicious treat. Make the below recipe, and you’ll soon be able to enjoy pumpkin bread that was made by your own hands!
To bake pumpkin bread, you’ll need:
- 1½ cups flour
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
- ½ teaspoon cinnamon
- ½ teaspoon nutmeg
- ½ teaspoon allspice
- 1 cup pumpkin
- 1 stick butter, melted
- 2 eggs, beaten
- ¼ cup water
- 2 teaspoons molasses
When making the bread, you’ll first want to preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Then, in a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, salt, sugar, baking soda, ground ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, and allspice. Next, in a larger bowl, mix together the pumpkin, melted butter, beaten eggs, water, and molasses. After that’s done, slowly add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and stir until there is no more dry flour in the mixture. Then, butter the sides of a loaf pan and pour the batter into it, smoothing out the top. Bake your loaf for 45 to 60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the loaf comes out clean. Remove the pan from the oven and let it cool for at least five minutes before carefully removing the loaf and putting it on a rack to cool completely.
