Keeping Your Electronics Clean at Our Apartments for Rent in Gainesville, FL

Nowadays, people have a variety of electronics in their home. Between televisions, computers, tablets, e-readers, and gaming systems, there are many different ways to stay connected and be entertained. Stocking your home with the latest electronics and gadgets doesn’t come cheap, so it’s important to keep your electronics clean in order to ensure they are working at their peak performance.

Here is an easy way to wipe down and make sure all your electronic gadgets are free from dust, crumbs, dirt, and other particles:

• TV screen – Make sure your TV is turned off and wipe it down with a dry microfiber cloth. Clean both the screen itself and the frame. If you still see spots that need help, then you will want to wash it with vinegar and water. Make a solution that is equal parts vinegar and water, dab your microfiber cloth into that solution, and then gently wipe the screen and frame. Wipe clean with a dry microfiber cloth.
• Computer – To clean your computer screen, wipe down with a damp microfiber cloth. You can use either water or rubbing alcohol, but stay away from using ammonia or acetone-based products as they can damage your screen. To clean your computer keyboard, first remove loose debris – such as crumbs – by tilting the keyboard upside down or by spraying a can of compressed air between the keys. Use a cotton swab and rubbing alcohol to wipe down the keys.
• Smartphones and tablets – Use a microfiber cloth to wipe down your screen, if it seems to be filled with fingerprint smudges or dust. If it seems to be particularly dirty, you can wipe it down gently with a damp microfiber cloth, and then go over it again with a dry cloth. Never use Windex or other household cleaners to clean your smartphone or tablet screen.
