Lifelong Learning around Our Gainesville Apartment Community
Traditionally, education is viewed as semesters competed and credits earned, with the eventual goal of receiving a diploma. Education, however, does not have to be this structured. Whether you are a retiree or a university student, consider the many learning opportunities available outside of the classroom:
- Check out the current bestsellers list or simply catch up on a few classics. After making a list of books you’d like to read, seek out a local bookstore. Living at Bellamay Grand, you are conveniently close to a state university where there are plenty of book resources at your disposal. If you still can’t find a book you like, think about joining an online book club or make a wish list on Amazon.
- Explore your hometown like a tourist. You can find several learning opportunities right outside the gates of our apartments in Gainesville such as concerts, libraries, historic sites, art shows, community events, and much more.
- If you are not already a student, become one! Museums and art centers surround you. A few to visit are the Harn Museum of Art, the Florida Museum of Natural History, and the Santa Fe Gallery.
These are just a few ways to keep your brain happy as the years go by. Exercise your brain just like you would exercise your muscles. Research suggests that keeping your brain and body active can have health benefits in the long run, giving you even more physically fit years to learn.
