Enjoy your visit to our Gainesville apartment community pool to its full potential by packing correctly for the pool. Here are some tips to keep in mind when packing for sun and fun:

Start your checklist with the obvious items—sunscreen, a hat, and sunglasses. Protecting your skin and eyes from the sun can help prevent sunburn, cancer, cataracts, and other sun damage.
Don’t let the cool, refreshing pool water distract you from the fact that you need to stay hydrated. It’s surprisingly easy to get dehydrated from a day of swimming and sun. Make sure to bring along drinking water for the whole family.
Entertain yourself by packing books, magazines, or children’s toys that will keep your entire family engaged and smiling. Just make sure to bring them back home when you leave.
Don’t forget your lips. Make sure to tote along a sun protective lip balm for your lips with an SPF of 15 or more.
Keep safety a top priority. Discuss the pool rules with children accompanying you, along with any family rules that you also enforce.
